A very successful ex-student of University of Ljubljana, Biotechnical Faculty, Department of Wood Science & Technology, Slovenia, Janez Tratar, is starting with the project of production of wooden bicycles as member of Tratar Bikes team.

Conference InWood2015: Innovations in wood materials and processes will be organized in frame of INWOOD project covering a wide range of topics related to wood science & technology, wood-based materials and processes, renewable materials, emerging products, innovations and markets.

The Innovation award for the European forest-based sector - the Schweighofer Prize - is looking for new proposals for the Schweighofer Prize 2015.
The Austrian Schweighofer family endows again € 300,000,- in total for innovative ideas and concepts.

The Horizon 2020 calls for proposals 2015 are open, but many are forthcoming.
Just as in the previous years the FTP is organizing FTP joint partnering event on Thursday 13 November 2014 in Munich airport.

The event offers a unique opportunity to obtain actual information on topics of the (upcoming) calls in Horizon 2020.

The FTP Joint Partnering Event has become a well-supported and much appreciated annual feature over the past years, with last year seeing a record number of participants. The event is organized by FTP with the support of InnovaWood, EFI and EFPRO.
