On 27 October the annual FTP partnering event will take place at Munich airport. This year the event has a new approach as FTP wishes to see a stronger industry participation and as a result even more competitive proposals from the forest-based sector to Horizon 2020. In order to make the Partnering Event more attractive to industry, a dedicated “Innovation Track”, boasting 9 parallel workshops, will be organised in which winning Project Ideas will have access to an exclusive industry audience.
Within the RTG program, Wood Biology and Wood Products department of – University of Göttingen is looking for a PhD candidate for a project about the separation, analysis and further use of bark constituents for binders in wood panels.
Closing date is the 15th of August 2015.
After the successful realisation of the last «CAS Wood-Based Panels» with participants from 12 nations, the Bern University of Applied Sciences will start again with module 1 «Process Technology» in Biel (Switzerland) this autumn. An intensive one-week training course in Wood-based materials – translating scientific knowledge into practice will take place from 7 to 12 September in Biel (Switzerland). Participants will gain a comprehensive overview of the production processes of particleboard, MDF and OSB as well as of their attributes and applications.

The next FTP Partnering Event will take place on Tuesday 27 October 2015, at the Munich Airport Centre.The event will be hosted by FTP Germany and will have a new format. The main focus will be on the creation of consortia under industrial leadership, so that resulting Projects and proposals will have a stronger industry component and also fulfil Horizon 2020 requirements.
