CIP Eco-innovation European Info Day will be held in Brussels on Tuesday 8 May 2012

Transnational access to key research infrastructures and tools in the field of forestry and wood technology in Europe.

The second day of the General Assembly 2012 a Seminar in the scope of the Trees4Future project was organised to inform the InnovaWood members about the possibilities for them within thins Infrastructures project.

A 3 days Summer School on Environmental Scanning Electron Microscopy and Microanalysis is organised by École Supérieure du Bois (ESB) in collaboration with InnovaWood. The Summer School will take place at ESB in Nantes on 25-27 June 2013.
The summer school will provide the opportunity to obtain first-hand experience of using a state-of-the-art Environmental Scanning Electron Microscope. Each of the participants will be encouraged to bring along samples that they wish to analyse. They will then learn by analysing their own specimens and when they leave they will be able to take the images and analyses away with them.
 

The tenth InnovaWood General Assembly was held in Ghent on 29th February and 1st March 2012. The first day included a workshop on the InnovaWood Divisions and the “Early Stage Researchers presentation Forum”, where the members of InnovaWood presented their research. The second day included a seminar on the “Trees4Future” project and offered an excursion to the laboratories of the Ghent University and furthermore, a visit in the wood trading company “van Hoorebeke”.

On 15 May 2012 the FTP and COST together with InnovaWood, EFI and EFPRO organise the next FTP-COST brokerage event at Munich Airport.

The focus of the event is to provide opportunities and information to about EU funding research programmes like FP7, COST and other. On the event the participants will obtain preliminary information on the FP7 last call for proposals to be expected to be launched this year.
