InnovaWood organises a meeting to share best practice between Directors, Heads of Department and others with managerial responsibility for researchers and teaching staff in the forestry, wood and furniture sector. The aim of the meeting is to provide leaders with an opportunity to improve the performance of their departments by the principles of management by quality. The meeting is concerned with the administration and management of staff rather than the technical aspects of what they provide.

The second edition of the International Conference “WOOD TECHNOLOGY & PRODUCT DESIGN” will be organized by the Faculty of Design and Technologies of Furniture and Interior, Ss. Cyril and Methodius University in Skopje, Republic of Macedonia.The Conference will be held in Ohrid, Republic of Macedonia from 18 to 21 May, 2015, at the University Congress Center.

IPPS is the leading technical conference on wood based panels, including all aspects of panel production technology, feedstocks, resins and additives, market analysis and the use of wood based panels in furniture and construction applications. The conference will be hosted on 7th & 8th October 2015 at Venue Cymru, Llandudno, North Wales.

On the occasion of its launch at the European Parliament on 04 February, the European Bioeconomy Alliance (EBA) calls for more predictable calls and a longer-term strategy for developing a competitive, dynamic and sustainable Bioeconomy in Europe.

Developing the bioeconomy is only feasible if the EU provides a holistic, coherent and harmonised framework in a range of policy fields: agriculture, forestry, marine, industrial, climate, environment, energy, research, innovation and regional development.

The University of Primorska awarded a grant by the European Commission under the Horizon 2020 Teaming grant instrument. The purpose of the funds is to increase innovation excellence in Europe in general, especially in member states under-performing in innovation.
