The overarching aim of EUFORE is to develop a sustainable, trans-national, co-creative environment for defining, implementing and evaluating R&I agendas and roadmaps for the entire forest-based value chains in Europe,
1. Providing a detailed depiction of sector’s R&I activity, funding and governance in Europe, to provide a knowledge base for stakeholder deliberations on setting the R&I agenda and roadmap.
2. Creating an understanding on how the forest-based sector could develop and what accompanying R&I is needed, based on various socio-economic, climatic, policy and environmentally related trends
3. Developing a stakeholder engagement hub, based on re-iterative interactions with stakeholders at regional, national and European levels, to deliberate on issues related ro R&I and to create a solid collaborative basis for a European Partnership on Forestry.
4. Co-designing with stakeholders a Strategic Research and Innovation Agenda (SRIA) with accompanying mplementation measures (roadmap) and possible funding commitments, following a multi-actor approach to ensure genuine and sufficient involvement of a targeted diversity of actors relevant to the objectives of the topic.
