1. Report document describing the current skills requirements or knowledge gaps of the sector and how vocational education and traning (VET) can contribute to filling these gaps. This report has been compiled based on inputs from all partners. While there are many differences in skill requirements in the different partner countries, the report tries to draw out the common threads and identifies how VET can contribute to the fulfilment of those needs.

2. The best practice in VET (case studies / success stories) - a web-based information source to facilitate the exchange of experiences and good practice in vocational education and training (VET) in the forestry-wood chain (FWC) sector. This initial set of best-practice examples from among the partners is included in the on-line resource at The scope of the different examples varies considerably and this makes direct comparison difficult, however, this can be addressed in the further development of the information resource where more emphasis can be placed on cataloguing examples based on different criteria.

3. Final expansion of the network and merging with the existing InnovaWood Network. At the start of the project the InnovaWood network had 68 member organisations. By the end of the project this has grown to 74 (see www.innovawood.com). While this is below the target set of 85, a number of very valuable initiatives were undertaken during the lifetime of the project which will facilitate further growth in membership. This includes the development of a contacts list of some 250 organisations across Europe and the production of an information pack for potential new members.

4. Extensive dissemination activity of the project and InnovaWood network in partners countries. Promotional material was published, translated and distributed to all partners for further dissemination. This includes brochures, poster and summary PowerPoint presentation which was used by partners in promoting the project.
