The CHANGE-UP project aims to help firms in the upholstered furniture sector in Europe to better cope with the problems resulting from restructuring processes.

Project Objectives
To set up, test and promote a network of Service Centres able to anticipate and manage change in the local productive systems of the upholstered furniture industry, providing the following services:
• labour market observatory
• skills update and knowledge management
• technology transfer
• innovation management
• international marketing
• innovative models of industrial relations
Project Results
• Analysis of the market sector at European level
• Identification of actual trends and needs concerning skills profiles and their evolution
• Development of training curricula related to the skill profiles more needed in the sector
• Development and field testing of knowledge and competence management tools
• Adoption of measures that facilitate business partnerships, international marketing and technology transfer
• Definition of innovative models of industrial relations
