On 1st March the 2011 InnovaWood Prize was awarded at the European Forestry House in Brussels.

The first InnovaWood Prize has been won by Coed Cymru for their project: “Tŷ Unnos: Sustainable Housing from Sitka Spruce”. The project introduced an innovative sustainable housing solution which meets the twin aims of affordable housing and low carbon construction objectives.

The InnovaWood General Assembly 2011 which will take place in Brussels on 1st and 2nd March 2011.

The meeting will start with a reception in the European Forestry House on Tuesday 1st March, during the reception the winner of the 2011 InnovaWood Prize will be announced. The reception will be followed by the official InnovaWood dinner. On Wednesday 2nd March the General Assembly meeting starts in the morning. The afternoon programme is organised by CTIB-TCHN, a Belgian member of InnovaWood. The programme includes presentations of various research programmes carried out by CTIB-TCHN. The day will be finished with a guided tour to the research centre.

From Research to Business' was the theme for the FTP Conference 2009 in Stockholm. A large number of fruitful results from research were presented. Many of the results have been alredy used or are close to be implemented by companies and can offer the new possibilities stakeholders are looking for. 

‘SHAPE YOUR SUSTAINABILITY TOOLS – and let your tools shape you,’ the final conference of the EFORWOOD project was held in Uppsala on 23rd and 24th September 2009.The conference brought together researchers, policy makers and practitioners from all over the world in discussion about Sustainability Impact Assessment of the Forest-based Sector.
