The CTC (Close to Customer) project will present a new business concept of the CTC mini-factory during the DEMO event which will take place from 8 to 18th of April in the Brianza Shopping Center (Paderno Dugnano,Milan). The two areas of the center will be dedicated respectively to the configuration of desired furniture through a tablet application, and to its realization inside the CTC mini-factory.

A week before the event it will be opened a contest on the official page of the commercial center that will allow one hundred people to participate to the experience of the DEMO. To the selected users group it will be asked to configure the preferred product and take a tour in the mini-factory to attend to products’ manufacturing. At the end of the activity it will be asked to compile a questionnaire of the experience.

This is the last phases of the project which objective is to transform the developed technological solutions in a full working “mini-factory” close to the customer. In order to reach this goal, the last steps that support the integration of machine and software tools are being carried out, considering off site integration of the sw tools supporting “design to manufacturing in one step” and their final integration within the manufacturing area.

The CTC project (Close to Customer) is a project financed by the European Commission that promotes the development of a new business model aiming at supporting European industry in the production of custom furniture, close to the customer in terms of space, price and taste.
