CAS Wood-Based Panels, Module 1 «Process Technology» training course

After the successful realisation of the last «CAS Wood-Based Panels» with participants from 12 nations, the Bern University of Applied Sciences will start again with module 1 «Process Technology» in Biel (Switzerland) this autumn. An intensive one-week training course in Wood-based materials – translating scientific knowledge into practice will take place from 7 to 12 September in Biel (Switzerland).

Participants will gain a comprehensive overview of the production processes of particleboard, MDF and OSB as well as of their attributes and applications. The program includes lectures on the individual production steps from experts in the field, production process reports from board producers, industry presentations on specific-topics and computer simulations of the hot-pressing process as well as an attractive supporting programme.

In addition a field trip to innovative companies in the sector will be organised.

The course is held in English. Based on the positive experiences of the last years, the Bern University of Applied Sciences is expecting a high number of international professionals to follow the course.

The course is organised in cooperation with the University of Hamburg. The Main Sponsors are Steinemann Technology AG and CreCon Greten GmbH & Co.

The CAS will also organise two other modules:
Module 2 «Adhesives and Emissions»: January 25 to 30, 2016
Module 3 «Surface Treatment»: September 5 to 10, 2016
