The COST FPS Domain in conjunction with FTP and the research organisations InnovaWood (wood technology), the Association of European Fibre and Paper Research Organisation (EFPRO) and the European Forest Institute (EFI) organize the Young Researchers' Forum.
The joint COST-FTP Forum will give Young Researchers the opportunity to present results of their research work and to discuss these with colleagues and industry representatives from all across Europe. Bringing together on the one hand young researchers and experienced researchers and on the other hand researchers and industry representatives, the Forum is an ideal opportunity to encourage networking of young researchers within the entire forest-based sector in Europe and abroad and additionally promote networking towards relevant industry and European and national bodies.
The number of applications to the COST Young Researchers’ Forum Call for Proposals was overwhelming. A total of 180 proposals were received by the Organising Committee and evaluated by a expert panel, who selected 20 proposals to be presented orally and 56 proposals to be presented as posters within the programme of the COST YRF.
A friendly competition is organised to select the two best presentations and the best poster of the COST-FTP Young Researchers’ Forum. Both speakers will have the opportunity to present their research again at a panel session on 13th March at the FTP Conference. The poster will be displayed at the COST stand during the FTP Conference.
