On Friday May 15th an FTP Joint Partnering Event took place in Austria’s Federal Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry, Environment and Water Management, in Vienna. The focus of the event was on the FP7 topics expected in the work programmes to be published this summer. Additional information concerning the open calls in the Competitiveness and Innovation Programme and the SET Plan was also provided.

The purpose of the event was to offer interested parties an opportunity to present their project ideas and to find suitable project partners, to provide detailed information and to promote discussion. The morning’s plenary session was moderated and led by Andreas Kleinschmit and Martin Greimel, and included a run through of all the topics relevant to the sector expected to be featured in the upcoming work programmes. In the afternoon the participants split into four groups in which selected individual topics of greatest interest to the attendees were looked at and discussed in great detail.
About 50 people from 16 countries participated in the discussion, networking and topic sessions.
