The 22^nd InnovaWood General Assembly 2024 will be held in the wonderful city of Prague, Czech Republic. We are delighted to organise the event together with this year’s host organisation Czech University of Life Sciences, Faculty of Forestry and Wood Sciences!

The InnovaWood General Assembly makes the European wood research and education community thrive. Take this opportunity to connect with other members, share knowledge and shape your future collaborations in wood science, innovation and education.

We are looking forward to fostering cooperations and enjoying a good time together. The programme for the two-day physical meeting places emphasis on networking and sharing of results from research and education.

Programme

Important considerations:

1. It is a full 2-day programme on Tuesday 14 and Wednesday 15 May. Hence, for most participants it will be best to travel on Monday 13 and Thursday 16 May.

2. In the evening of Monday 13 May, we propose our informal Get Together in the Restaurant of Grand Hotel International (at own cost).

3. The General Assembly will take place on CZU campus 30min north of the city centre. We recommend several hotels in the programme. Both the informal Get Together on Monday 13^th and the official conference dinner on Tuesday 14^th will take place at the Grand Hotel International situated between CZU and city centre. Please book early, because Prague is a very touristic destination especially during May.

4. Day 1 of the General Assembly can also be followed online via MS Teams.

5. You can subscribe for pitching your research results and you have the possibility to expose posters, material samples and prototypes of your projects and research activities. Please inform us when you register or per e-mail.

6. You can organise independent side meetings on Monday 13 May. If you intent to do so, please contact us.

	The Twelve InnovaWood General Assembly The twelve InnovaWood General Assembly was hled in Tulin, Austria, on 24-25th April, 2014. The event offered varied programme.
	The Eleventh InnovaWood General Assembly, 23rd 2013, Geneva, Switzerland The eleventh InnovaWood General Assembly took place in Geneva, on 23rd April, 2013. The event offered varied programme including two back to back events: the InnovaWood and UNECE/FAO seminar on innovation in the Forest-Based Sector and the RTD creativity workshop on societal challenges for the Forest-wood sector.
	The Tenth InnovaWood General Assembly and Seminar, 29 Feb - 1 March 2012, Ghent, Belgium The first day included a workshop on the InnovaWood Divisions and the “Early Stage Researchers presentation Forum”, where the members of InnovaWood presented their research. The second day included a seminar on the “Trees4Future” project and offered an excursion to the laboratories of the Ghent University and furthermore, a visit in the wood trading company “van Hoorebeke”.
	The Nineth InnovaWood General Assembly took take place 1 - 2 March 2011, Brussels, Belgium The General Assembly started with an opening reception in the evening of 1 March. During the opening reception the InnovaWood Prize award winner was announced. On 2 March the plenary meeting took place and the afternoon programme was organised by CTIB-TCHN, it included presentations of the research projects they are carrying out and a guided tour to their laboratories.
	The Eighth InnovaWood General Assembly and Workshops, 28 - 29 January 2010, Brussels, Belgium The InnovaWood General Assembly 2010 was held in Brussels, Belgium, from 28 – 29 January. The two days meeting included the opening reception of the new InnovaWood offices in Brussels and a visit to one of the largest wood collections in the world at the Royal museum of Central Africa.
	The Seventh InnovaWood General Assembly and Workshops, 27 - 28 January 2009, Valencia, Spain The InnovaWood General Assembly 2009 was held in Valencia, Spain, from 27 – 28 January, hosted by AIDIMA, - Furniture, Wood and Packaging Technology Institute. The two days meeting included the workshops on research and development, education, knowledge transfer and environment and also two guest speaker session. Summary
	The Sixth InnovaWood General Assembly, Braunschweig, Germany, 28 – 29 January 2008 The Sixth InnovaWood General Assembly was held in Braunschweig, Germany, from 28 – 29 January 2008. The event was hosted by WKI-Fraunhofer Institute, one of the members of the InnovaWood network. The two-day meeting offered workshops that focused on education, knowledge transfer issues and in particular the opportunities of the forest based sector in FP7. It was an opportunities for the InnovaWood members to discuss the future strategy of the network and participation in common research and development projects. Summary
	The Fifth InnovaWood General Assembly 31st January 2006, Winterthur Zurich, Switzerland The Fifth General Assembly was held in Banana City hotel Winterthur on 31st January 2007 hosted by BFH-AHB. Summary
	The Fourth InnovaWood General Assembly and Workshop 26- 27 January 2006, Rome, Italy This general assembly also included the Workshop “Getting Ready for Framework 7” prsented by Dr Sean McCarthy from Hyperion. Summary
