The InnovaWood network
Founded in 2003, and based since 2010 in Brussels, InnovaWood is today a major European network in the forestry, woodworking and furniture sector. The overall aim is to bring business benefit to the value chain by providing a forum for the member organisations and contribute to the competitive development of Europe’s forest-based sector. The network is comprised of member organisations from countries in Europe and overseas in the field of research, education, training and knowledge transfer.
Data Collected, Use and Basis for Data Processing
The InnovaWood Secretariat collects and processes data on the basis of legitimate interests in order to carry out our activities. InnovaWood seeks to provide information to our members who are involved in research and development the forest-based sector at national and European level and who could, thereby, reasonably be expected to gain added value from the information we provide on topics which are of fundamental public importance.
InnovaWood collects data directly from data subjects, from third parties (e.g. directories, websites), from participant lists to our events or social media. The collected data can include an individual’s full name, work email address, work title or department, company name, address, phone number, IP address, company website, professional platform website, and photo.
Registering with personal data for an InnovaWood event or activity implies the consent for this application to use the data supplied in the context of the event or activity.

Specific data provided by individual staff from member organisations (e.g. reports, presentations, data files) are only shared via the internal shared webspace with consent from the individual.
