Participants are advised to make their own arrangements with respect to entering Sweden. EFORWOOD conference organization will provide Visa invitation letter on request. For more information on Visa issue here.

TRAVEL INFORMATION

From Stockholm Arlanda Airport
The closest airport to Uppsala is Stockholm Arlanda Airport. From there you may easily reach the conference venue, either by train, the airport coach or a taxi. Uppsala is located approximately 35 kilometres north of Stockholm Arlanda Airport.

By train

All international flights arrive and depart from terminal 5. After you have picked up your luggage and passed through customs, walk towards ”Sky City”, which is located between terminal 5 and terminal 4. All trains to Uppsala depart from ”Arlanda C”, which is located in the centre of Sky City.

From Arlanda you may take two different train types. It doesn’t matter which one you choose, but you need different tickets, depending on what train company you travel with. The trip to Uppsala will take you approximately 20 minutes and cost approximately 130 SEK (approx 13 EUR).

One of the train companies (SJ) has an information counter next to the entrance of Arlanda C, where you may ask what train comes next if you are uncertain of what ticket to purchase.
Tickets may be purchased from machines by the entrance of ”Arlanda C”.
Your direction is ”Tierp/Gävle” or ”Uppsala”, depending on what train you catch. Please note that trains marked ”Stockholm” goes to the opposite direction. Your stop is ”Uppsala”.

Please note that ”Arlanda Express” only serves Stockholm and not Uppsala.

By airport coaches, route 801

The airport coaches to Uppsala, route 801, departures just outside of terminal 5. During peak traffic the buses depart every 20 minutes. For further information, please see the timetable at the end of this document.

You may purchase your ticket from the driver in cash (Isela, was this correct when you travelled). Single fare is approximately 10 EUR.

The airport coach arrives next to Uppsala train station. From there you have a five minute walk to the venue. Please see the detailed map.

By taxi
There are taxis just outside of terminal 5. A taxi from Arlanda to Uppsala costs approximately 400-500 SEK (approx 40-50 EUR). We recommend you to use ”Uppsala Taxi – 100 000”- They have a fixed rate of 435 SEK (approx 4,35 EUR) between Arlanda and Uppsala City. If you choose to travel with another taxi company we strongly recommend you to ask for a fixed rate.

From the hotels to the conference venue

From Victoria Hotell & Konferens to the conference venue
Bus transportation will be arranged from Victoria Hotell & Konferens to the conference venue in the morning 23 and 24 September and back to the hotel after the conference dinner 23 September.
Local buses, route 809, 182 and 186, serves between the hotel (bus stop “Victoria”) and Uppsala train station (bus stop “Centralstationen”) approximately every 30 minutes. Please visit www.ul.se for a detailed time table.
From the train station you have a 5 minute walk to the conference venue.

From Scandic Uppsala Nord
Bus transportation will be arranged from Scandic Uppsala Nord to the conference venue in the morning 23 and 24 September and back to the hotel after the conference dinner 23 September.
Local buses, route 2, serves between the conference venue (bus stop: Vaksala torg) and the hotel (bus stop: Kantorsgatan) every 10-20 minutes.

From Grand Hotell Hörnan and Park Inn
Both Grand Hotell Hörnan and Park Inn are located within a walking distance from the conference venue.
