InnovaWood invites you to participate in a new InnovaWood initiative that aims to further develop and support the European higher education in wood science and technology.
Initiated by an increasing difficulty to attract sufficient numbers of students to wood science and technology courses and the struggle to maintain sufficient resources to cover a wide range of topics and disciplines, forces are joined to establish a so called InnovaWood Wood Science Module bank.

It is foreseen that the wood science module bank will provide EU-wide educational programmes at various levels and certainly at the BSc, MSc and PhD levels. Modules would be delivered to students outside of the university that created it via existing e-learning techniques such as videoed lectures, video meetings/tutorials, self-learning exercises, knowledge books, etc.
A detailed description of the initiative will be discussed during the next IW General Assembly.

If you are interested to participate in this initiative please inform the InnovaWood Secretariat and be prepared to attend InnovaWood’s General Assembly on the 29th and 30th March in Helsinki where the wood science module bank initiative will be launched. The first meeting of the Wood Science Module Bank members will then take place during the General Assembly workshops.
