On Tuesday 21 January 2014 a meeting was organised by the European Parliament Intergroup on “Climate Change, Biodiversity and Sustainable Development” . The meeting “Ensuring sustainable forest management for socio-economic and environmental services” was chaired by MEP Gaston Franco, co-chair of the ”Forestry” Working Group. The meeting consisted out of 3 sessions. Presentation were given by EU Commissioners from DG ENV, DG ENTR, DG AGRI, forest owners and wood industry representatives. The third session of the event was focussing on the blue print on EU forest industries and included a presentation of Philippe Buisseret, Secretary General of CEI-Bois.
